D.C. police spokeswoman Traci Hughes says a person walked into the museum with a rifle and shot a guard. Hughes says the shooter was also shot.Update: (as seen on Fox News): one security guard and the shooter wounded and taken to the hospital, so far condition of both unknown. Another person seems to be injured by flying glass fragments.
Hughes says the victims' conditions were not known. Both were being rushed to a hospital.
Update: WTTG, the FOX affiliate in Washington, has confirmed that the 39-year-old guard who was shot has died of his injuries after being taken to a hospital.
