Breast-feeding while driving and related offenses

Ohio Woman Caught Breast-Feeding, Talking on Phone While Driving

Burke said the legal concern is that Compton had a child in her lap while driving, not that she was breast-feeding in public. He said the child was under 2 years old.
I suggest that police has shown a severe lack of imagination in this case. They should have thrown the whole book at the lady. Why not use some additional charges, like:
  • Lewd behavior in public
  • Irradiating a minor by high frequency radio waves
  • Feeding a minor by unapproved (by NIH) substance
  • Etc. - I hope that there is a lot of ground to cover in this direction
As for the kid, he (she?) cannot escape unscathed for reasons of:
  • Complicity in perpetrating of the crime
  • Concealment of knowledge of the crime
  • Encouragement of the criminal
And the last, but most serious charge for the tyke: since the mom used one hand to keep the toddler and the other to hold the cell phone:
  • Driving a motor vehicle without a license
I say - lock them both up and throw out the key!
